Bluestone triumph for £6m research centre

Bluestone has won a £6 million contract to build a new research centre for the University of Southampton's Developmental Origins of Health and Disease division of the School of Medicine.
The building will be the latest phase of a £18.3 million programme at the University. The four-storey building will provide labs, lecture theatres, offices and a three-storey glazed link to the cancer research building.

Studio Four Architects designed the scheme and are working alongside structural engineers NRM Consultants and project managers the Wheeler Group Consultancy.
