Barnsley firm Qualter Hall will begin work to fabricate and fit a new swing footbridge in Hull next year. The company is part of design team which includes McDowell+Benedetti and engineer Alan Baxter & Associates. Named 'The Boom', the bridge will span the river Hull and features an indoor space which planners say could be used for meetings and events.

Civils contractor on the job is Pierse Construction.
