Bracknell park set for major revamp

South Hill Park in Bracknell is in line for a major renovation after it received a £209,000 National Lottery grant as part of a planned £4.4 million renovation.

The grant was approved as part of Big Lottery Fund national Parks for People programme and will be used to finalise plans to restore South Hill Park.

The money is the second major heritage grant following the ten-year, £2 million restoration of Lily Hill Park.

Bracknell Forest Borough Council’s Iain McCracken said: “Lottery money has already played a vital role in the renaissance of our historic parks. With this new grant secured, I have no doubt that we can turn South Hill Park into a place people can be really proud of.”
