Brewery site earmarked for major mixed-use scheme

The former Boddingtons brewery site in Manchester has been earmarked for a £258 million mixed-use development with 47,000sq m of office space and 480 flats.

The site would also have more than 6000sq m of retail space and a 15,000sq m hotel, according to a masterplan approved by Manchester City Council yesterday.

Site owners Ask Developments and Realty Estates are expected to submit a detailed planning application early next year, with development to start next autumn.
