THE EMPIRE and Commonwealth Museum has appointed a full design team to revamp Temple Meads railway station in Bristol, but will not invite contractors to bid for the 20 million deal until mid-1999.

Designer MTA Csaky, architect MacCormac Jamieson Prichard and consulting engineer Buro Happold will work on converting the station into an 8,000 sq m museum.
