Brixton beauty


London mayor Ken Livingstone has thrown his weight behind Lambeth Borough Council's plan to revamp the centre of Brixton. The council has applied for £22 million in Lottery funding to upgrade Brixton Market and Electric Avenue. A decision from the Lottery is due in September.
