Bucket claim


A joiner who was knocked out when he was hit on the head by the bucket of a digger has been awarded £44,000 in damages. Lee McGilvray, who was 23 at the time of the incident in 1998, was talking to colleagues on a construction site in Fife when he was knocked unconscious by the blow.His safety helmet was cracked and he was admitted to hospital with neck and head injuries.

John Meiklem Drainage Contractors admitted liability.
