Business park gets grand opening

Rok staff took part in a topping out ceremony for a £6 million eco-friendly business park at Okehampton in Devon.

The flagship park for 16 new and growing small firms includes a ‘green energy’ centre that will use state-of-the-art building materials, solar panels, a wind turbine and a boiler fuelled by wood pellets.

The centre is the first development on the 26-acre Opportunity Okehampton site.

Managed by West Devon Borough Council, the business park secured regional and European funding and is expected to be completed in 2008.
