A strengthened reinforcement cage is manoeuvred into place as part of Bachy Soletanche's contract for piling work to support a bridge over the river Avon that will form a key part of the A429 Barford Bypass.

The firm installed 104 piles to support two abutments and three piers that will carry the weight of the bridge from the banks of the river.

The 2.1 km road is due for completion next autumn.
