Capita Symonds appointed to MoD framework

Capita Symonds will carry out a range of management and construction functions for the Ministry of Defence after being appointed to its Framework Agreement for Technical Support.

The company says that the appointment could be worth more than £300 million per year over two years, with the option of a further one year extension.

The framework is used to procure technical support for MOD facilities across the UK. Potential projects include both the management and construction of a range of support, training and communication facilities.

In total, 55 specialist ‘capability areas’ have been awarded to Capita Symonds, its parent company Capita and Urban Vision, its joint venture partnership with Salford City Council.

These areas include architecture, civil and structural engineering, IT services, environmental, building services, technology, monitoring and evaluation services, quantity surveying and estates management.
