Carillion could build new academy in Inverclyde

Carillion is in talks with Inverclyde businessmen to set up a major new construction college in Scotland.

The company has held initial discussions with local councillors over the college, which could train 40 or more 16 to 18-year-olds each year.

Inverclyde Council said that Scottish Enterprise might provide funding, and the project could be up and running within three years.
