Carillion sells PPP stakes

Carillion will sell its share in three fully operational Public Private Partnership projects for £21.5 million.

The firm has agreed terms to sell its equity holdings in the Great Western Hospital, Swindon Harplands Hospital, North Staffordshire and Glasgow Southern General Hospital projects to secondary market fund Land Securities Trillium.

Following the equity sale, Carillion will have 22 financially closed projects in
which it has invested, or has commitments to invest, a total of £171 million.

The deal is expected to be completed by the end of December.
