CATALIS Rail Training is the biggest provider of railway training in the UK, covering all aspects of the industry.
The company began life in 1938 as British Rail's College of Railway Technology prior to becoming the subject of a management buy-out some three years ago.
The name CRT was adopted last October.
CRT describes itself as 'a vertically integrated' railway company, meaning that it provides courses across the spectrum for construction contractors working on infrastructure, trains operators and Railtrack. The courses include:
for infrastructure companies - signalling, civil engineering, safety, electrification and possession management
for the train operating companies - train maintenance and efficient and effective rail industry management
for Railtrack - contracts.
CRT also offers training for project management, health and safety and risk management.
