Catford Greyhound stadium plans submitted

Detailed plans have been submitted to Lewisham Council on behalf of Countryside Properties, English Partnerships and Hyde Housing Association for their £50 million joint venture residential and commercial development at Catford Greyhound Stadium in Lewisham, London.

The scheme comprises the construction of 593 residential units, commercial floorspace and a community centre in 13 blocks, a maximum of eight storeys, on the site of the former stadium, including the land in between the railway lines and the South Circular.

The development consists of 210 one-bedroom and 330 two-bedroom, self-contained flats, 26 three-bedroom and 18 four-bedroom houses, retail/commercial floorspace and a community centre.

The scheme is expected to start on site during 2009.
