Clarke rejects 'more cash for terror victims' call

Home Secretary Charles Clarke has rejected calls for additional compensation payments for the victims of terrorist attacks.
In an interview he said that people injured in terrorist outrages should be treated in the same way as other victims of crime.

He said: 'Whether you are stabbed outside a pub or maimed by an explosion on a Tube train, it's not actually the way in which you are injured that is the key thing - provided it's a criminal act - but the extent of the injuries.'
