THE CONSTRUCTION Clients Group is to lead a review of the Clients' Charter to update its pr inciples on best pract ice.
Over 400 clients ? including airport operator BAA and the Highways Agency ? have signed up to the charter since its launch in October 2001.
But Chris Morley, the CCG's director, said: 'The world has moved on since the charter was introduced and we will be looking at its content and management.
'I would like to see more on sustainability and safety following this year's safety summit.' Under the Strategic Forum's targets, half of all projects by value should be pursuing Charter principles by 2007.
CCG will also review the management of the charter, which is being run by consultant Achilles.
Mr Morley added: 'Since the previous client body went bust, the charter got handed to Constructing Excellence. Achilles hasn't had enough leadership, which is why we want to take the charter back on.' The CCG is moving into Constructing Excellence's London offices. It will retain its autonomy while holding seats on the improvement body's executive board.
