Mott MacDonald has won a contract to provide all engineering services for a £30 million new 9000-seat main stand for the Warwickshire County Cricket Club.

The new stand will replace a number of existing buildings and will occupy 25% of the pitch perimeter.

Mott MacDonald is providing all engineering services while Franklin + Andrews Sports Business, Mott MacDonald’s construction economists, will provide quantity surveying services and advice on the business plan.

Planning applications will be submitted later this year with detailed design expected to begin in early 2009 and construction planned around the needs of the cricket season. Completion is scheduled for 2011.
