Committee to investigate engineering skills crisis

The House of Commons has launched a major new inquiry into the skills shortage in the engineering sector.

The Committee for Innovation, Universities and Skills said it would be carrying out a wide ranging investigation of “issues affecting engineering and the provision of engineering skills in the UK.”

The committee will be accepting evidence from all interested parties on the subject up to Friday 15 March.

Submissions must be less than 3,000 words and should be sent to iuscomm@parliament.uk, together with a contact name, telephone number and postal address.
