Social housing firm Connaught has secured two contracts totalling £50 million from the Dumfries and Galloway Housing Partnership.
Under one of the contracts, worth £27 million, Connaught will take sole responsibility for maintaining 10,600 homes across the Dumfries and Galloway region over the next five years.
The second contract will see the group will install 6000 bathrooms and 1,200 kitchens.
Connaught director Martin Morrison said: "Both contract awards allow us to work closely with the community and will safeguard 100 local jobs."
Council workers responsible for maintenaning the partnership's homes will have their employment transferred to Connaught under the deal.
Dumfries and Galloway Housing Partnership is Scotland's second biggest social landlord.
