Consort Homes calls in administrators

Another victim of the UK housing slump, Leeds-based contractor Consort Homes has gone into administration.

Consort has a £22 million turnover and employs just under 50 staff. As well as its Horsforth headquarters, the firm has an office in the Scottish city of Paisley.

KPMG has been appointed as administrator.

It said it would be writing to affected parties regarding the situation.
