Consultant goes local for Polish job

Consultant Faber Maunsell has recruited a local man to head up its Polish operation.

Jerzy Telepko has been appointed general manager of the firm’s business out there.

The country is experiencing a building boom at the moment with millions of EU money pouring into the country to upgrade ageing infrastructure.

And, along with the Ukraine, the country is also playing host to the European football championships in 2012 which will see new stadia built in the capital Warsaw and Gdansk. A host of other venues will be revamped.

Mr Telepko said: “The expansion of Polish infrastructure has been given further impetus because Poland is to host Euro 2012.”

He added that Faber Maunsell’s aim was to become one of the top engineering companies in Eastern Europe.
