Consultant picks up rugby job

Consultant Currie & Brown has been appointed by Worcester Rugby Club to mastermind the £7.4 million redevelopment of its Sixways Stadium.

The six-month project will see the revamp of the Premiership club’s East stand and North East corner block and will include offices and retail outlets, as well as an extended 6,000 capacity stand.

The stand, shop and hospitality facilities are due to be completed in time for the start of the Warriors’ new season in September.

The job is being handled by the firm’s Bristol office and Currie & Brown’s director Jon Ross said: “With projects like this the window of opportunity to get in and complete the work is often very short. The rugby season is going to start when it is scheduled to start and that focuses everyone’s mind.”
