Consultation on £500m dock

Bristol Port Company has launched its plans for a £500 million deep-water container terminal in Avonmouth.

The firm, which operates seven deep-water births at Royal Portbury Dock, is holding two consultation sessions over the plans.

If the job goes ahead it would include a new dock with 1.2km of quayside and ten cranes to move cargo to and from the ships.
