Contracting hits Parkfield

FINANCE

PARKFIELD has made a loss following the collapse into administration of the Derbyshire-based firm's contracting arm.

The firm lost £360,000 before tax in 2004 against a £757,000 profit in 2003.

Chairman Brian Holmes said: 'This has been a difficult year.'

Parkfield made £555,000 from property development and contract flooring but turnover fell to £3 million from £13.9 million in 2003.
