Local developer Mizin has awarded the contracts for the second phase infrastructure works on its Liwan, Arjan and Majan projects in Dubailand.

The three contracts have been awarded to a joint venture of Saudi Binladin Group and the local Emirates Roads Contracting (ERC).

The works involves the construction of networks for water, power supply, irrigation facilities, sewerage and drainage, as well as the telecommunications infrastructure across a total area of about 5 square kilometres. The first phase infrastructure works involved building the roads system. The works are due to be completed by mid-2010.

Mizin is the real estate arm of Tatweer, which is part of Dubai Holding.
