Corus firm recruits tech boss

Corus Construction and Engineering Products has appointed Richard Price as technical director.

The Corus Group subsidiary said Mr Price would join its Newport business, which makes highway steel safety barriers and trench sheeting products.

Mr Price will also work for the Catnic division of Corus, which designs, produces and supplies steel lintels.

Corus, which was formed late last decade when British Steel merged with major Dutch steel producer Hoogovens, is now owned by Tata, the Indian conglomerate.

Mr Price began his 15 year career as a technical engineer with European Profiles, now Corus Panels & Profiles.
