Costain bags station

COSTAIN has taken a £26 million deal to redevelop a railway station next to London's Battersea Power Station.

The four-chimney landmark power station on the River Thames is being redeveloped by Hong Kong owner Parkview.

But nearby Battersea Park railway station also needs work and will be upgraded by the power station's owner.

The deal is a design and build contract. Work is due to start in September and will take two years.
