Costain clinches £40m M27 deals

Costain has secured two contracts on the M27 motorway for the Highways Agency worth a total of £40 million.

The first contract will cover widening the road between Junctions 3 and 4,
adding 4km of additional lane to each carriageway and a central reserve concrete
barrier.

The second contract involves construction of 2kn of additional climbing lanes between Junctions 11 and 12 for each carriageway.

Chief executive Andrew Wyllie said: "These awards underline our commitment to our client, the Highways Agency, and the highway sector and further demonstrate our leading status in this key market."
