Costain glory

Costain has vaulted into the lead on a prestigious £22 million church refurbishment in central London. Sources close to the deal claim Montpellier subsidiary Walter Lilly has fallen into second place. Bids from InteriorExterior, Mowlem and Wallis have already been ruled out for the scheme, which will revamp the Grade I listed St Martin-in-the-Fields church, which overlooks Nelson's Column in Trafalgar Square.
