Council invites tenders to rebuild schools

Scottish Borders Council is inviting bids for two projects totalling £16 million to rebuild primary schools.

The Kingsland and Lauder schools in southern Scotland will be rebuilt on greenfield sites at Neidpath Grazing in Peebles and Allanbank at Lauder.

The Kingsland School, for a capacity of 365 students, will be about 4000 sq m while the Lauder school will be 2850 sq m for 266 students.

The deadline for tenders or requests to participate is noon on Monday November 19.
