Council seeks bidders to restore Stewart Park

Middlesbrough Council is seeking tenders to design, construct and maintain the historic Stewart Park.

The job, worth £5.5 million over five years, includes the restoration and conversion of Victorian estate buildings, new events spaces, a new park access road and restoration of parkland.

It is the first phase of a masterplan to restore the park, which is the birthplace of Captain Cook.

Deadline for bids is 25 February.
