Council to offer £5m repairs deal

Caradon District Council is inviting bids for a maintenance contract in Cornwall worth up to £5 million.

The council is seeking a business partner to handle responsive repairs and planned maintenance for about 3,500 homes and 800 garages.

A further 120 leasehold dwellings and communal areas in housing developments will also be covered by the deal.

With a value expected to range between £4.2 million and £5 million, the contract will run for an intial five-year period with an option for an extension of up to three years.

The council will invite up to six bidders to submite formal tenders. The deadline for requests to take part is Monday 19 May.
