Crossrail legal team named

Crossrail has announced the firms on its legal panel for property acquisition and planning activity, following a competitive tendering process.

The panel will play a critical role in acquiring more than 13,000 land and property interests and consists of Eversheds, Cripps Harries Hall, Wragge & Co and Ashurst.

The team will be advising both Crossrail and Transport for London and will be managed by Crossrail and TfL’s own legal teams.

Crossrail legal services director Mark Fell said: “Work on Crossrail is now moving full-speed ahead and the acquisition of property under powers obtained through the Crossrail Act is the next major step forward for the project as it prepares for the start of main construction work in 2010.”
