Crusher beats steel rods

PLANT

GENERAL Bridge & Engineering has developed a crusher that processes reinforced concrete without steel getting jammed in the feed or discharge mechanisms.

The impact roll crusher, for use in demolition jobs, uses a horizontal feed and conveying system to avoid changes in material direction, with the rolling mechanism crushing while keeping the rubble moving.

Manager Jack Wild said: 'Unlike conventional jaw and impact crushers, these machines are able to remove the reinforcing rod with no damage to the plant. There is a worldwide demand for concrete crushers.'
