'Cutting hospital waiting lists public priority'

Britons still think the Government is failing on hospital waiting times, according to research out today.
As many as 81 per cent believe improvements are necessary on the periods waited by outpatients, while more than three-quarters want time spent waiting in A&E and inpatient waiting lists cut.

The study by the National Centre for Social Research found that while Britons support Government plans to offer patients a choice of hospitals, such developments might do little to improve overall satisfaction with the NHS.
