Dam decision delayed

TWO TEAMS bidding to build a hydroelectric dam close to Loch Ness in Scotland will have to wait a further two months to find out which has won.

Hochtief and a Skanska/ Morgan Est joint venture were expecting to hear which would take the £85 million job late last year but a decision is due in April.

Scottish & Southern Energy declined to comment but one source said: 'We are building the first hydroelectric dam in the UK for 40 years and have to get it right.'
