Darth Vader’s Helmet to be redesigned after Bloomberg deal

Bloomberg has agreed to build its headquarters on the former Bucklersbury House site owned by Legal & General, prompting a significant redesign of the original scheme.

Foster & Partners will now design a bespoke development expected to ‘depart markedly’ from the existing consent for four glass buildings dubbed ‘Darth Vader’s Helmet’, according to a report in the Financial Times.

McGee is already working on demolishing the Bucklersbury House site. Early works are expected to continue over the next nine months.
