Davis Langdon wins Oxfordshire science job

Davis Langdon has been awarded a contract for the Diamond Light Source (DLS) scientific research building programme in Oxfordshire.
It will act as quantity surveyor at the DLS, the largest UK-funded scientific facility to be built for over 40 years. It is designed to probe the structure of matter with X-rays.

The four-year QS services deal will cover the “construction and modification of new and existing projects and support buildings”.

The value of the final contract award was not released, but an early tender notice put the estimated cost at £2.5 million.
