D&D wins place at uni

DEAN & Dyball has chalked up a £12 million deal to build a teaching block at Kingston University in Surrey. The firm saw off competition from Norwest Holst and Amec.

Work will include putting up a seven-storey teaching block to provide classrooms, lecture rooms and IT facilities.

Currently the Penrhyn site features facilities for science and research and a library.

Much of the campus has been modernised over recent years.

Construction is due to start in March with completion planned before Christmas.
