DEMOLITION DISASTER: A supermarket collapsed during demolition work in New York last week, trapping five people including a seven-month old baby who was saved by her pram.No-one was killed in the incident but 10 people, including five firefighters, were injured.

Demolition work was being carried out by the Safeway Environmental Corporation, which has been issued with three violations for unsafe work by the city's Department of Building.The building had been reduced to a four-storey shell when it caved in.
