Derelict houses to be replaced

William Sutton will knock down 39 derelict properties in two Borehamwood streets in Hertfordshire later this year.

The housing association said the homes in Balmoral Drive and Monkswood Gardens fail to meet modern standards and there are plans for 59 new homes on the sites.

Regional development manager for Affinity Sutton, the housing association’s parent company, John Gronow said: "The site at Balmoral Drive is soon to be redeveloped to provide new affordable homes for rent and for shared ownership, following our successful planning application."

Work is expected to start around Easter.
