Derry bridge tenders returned

Tenders have been returned for a £10 million bridge at Ebrington Waterfront in Derry for Ilex Urban Regeneration Company.

Work will include the design and construction of a new iconic foot and cycle bridge over the river Foyle.

The bridge must accommodate the existing railway line and historic wall on the eastern side and provide a link to the western river quay.

Construction work is due to start this summer and is expected to last 21 months.
