Developer faces legal action

Miller Homes could have a legal battle with residents of a West Yorkshire housing estate after 21 houses were deluged during the summer downpour.

Law firm Irwin Mitchell has been engaged by a group of homeowners at Weavers Gate in Liversedge, Kirkless, who believe their houses were inadequately designed with poor drainage.

Miller Homes Yorkshire managing director Steve Birch said the company could not comment on the legal action until it had received specific details.
