Dip in site fatalities

CONSTRUCTION deaths look to be falling ? provisional data from the Health and Safety Executive showed this week.

As Construction News went to press the industry's death toll stood at 65 just days before the year-end deadline tomorrow (Friday). The number is six lower than the previous 12 months ? a drop of 8.5 per cent.

The HSE records the number of fatalities from April 1 to the end of March.
