Early start

The first phase of a £4 billion development in east London will start six months earlier than planned after work on the Channel Tunnel Rail Link finished early. Planning applications for work at the Stratford City scheme will be submitted to Newham Borough Council at the end of this year. Phase 1 will include three department stores, 120 retail units and a 600-bedroom hotel.
