ECA chooses Paul McNaughton for president

Paul McNaughton has been appointed president of the Electrical Contractors’ Association for 2012-13.

Mr McNaughton is managing director of Darke and Taylor, and has worked in the electrical industry for 38 years.

He said he wanted to use his presidency in particular to help smaller firms in the difficult economic climate, to maintain apprenticeships in the sector and to encourage contractors to develop management skills.

“It’s a real honour to be able to give something back and represent the best in the electrical contracting industry,” he said.

ECA Group chief executive Steve Bratt said: “We are delighted to appoint him as president. The association and its members can only benefit from his decades of experience and passion for skills development.”
