EDAW-led team to masterplan Olympic legacy

The London Development Agency (LDA) has selected a consortium led by EDAW and including Allies and Morrison to design the Olympic legacy masterplan.

Although the LDA was not expected to announce the winner until Tuesday next week, the AJ can reveal the 17-strong team that will create the entire physical framework for the legacy of the East London site.

The team, led by EDAW, also includes Caruso St John, Maccreanor Lavington, Vogt Landscape, McDowell + Benedetti, Haworth Tompkins, Panter Hudspith, S333, Camlin Lonsdale, Buro Happold, Beyond Green, JMP, PMP, Vision XS and Nick Ritblat.

The team saw off strong competition from two other consortia – one led by Arup and including Fletcher Priest Architects, West 8, RPS, Leaside Regeneration and Dialogue; and the second featuring Urban Practitioners with Maxwan, URS Townsend and L+R Consulting.
