Two consortia submitted bids last week for a £76 million Private Finance Initiative deal in the south-east.A Hochtief consortium is competing with a William Verry team for Kent County Council's six-school deal.Mapeley was also shortlisted but withdrew after deciding to leave the PFI education sector.A winner will be announced this September.
