Electrical boss stabbed

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a knife attack on the managing director of electrical contractor T Clarke.

Barry deFalco, 49, was outside the firm's headquarters in Walworth Road, south London, early last Thursday morning when the attacker - described as white and stocky - approached the doorway and stabbed him.

Mr deFalco, who has worked for T Clarke since 1971, was taken to a south London hospital, where he remained over the weekend. His injuries are not believed to be critical.

The Metropolitan Police said no robbery was involved.

An industry source said: 'There have been a few redundancies at T Clarke lately so it's possible it could have been somebody with a grudge.'
