EP plans Peterborough development

English Partnerships has submitted an outline planning application to build around 150 homes on Glebe Road in Peterborough in a bid to tackle a housing shortage in the region.
The regeneration agency has launched a search for developers who will use Modern Methods of Construction on the scheme. Around 10 per cent of the homes will be sold to first-time buyers under a new Government scheme aimed at key workers.

The scheme forms part of plans to regenerate the River Nene South Bank area of Peterborough. Houses and flats will be built around a central green area on a site currently owned by housing manufacturer the Elliot Group which will move to new premises on the eastern side of the city.

Detailed plans are expected to be ready by the end of 2006.
